Their design and features are tailored to meet the specific demands of the laboratory environment. Every KIRSCH laboratory refrigerator is reliable and creates optimal conditions for storing your sensitive goods. Our laboratory refrigerators are world leaders when it comes to temperature constancy. The LABEX®-Line with Explosion-Proof Cooling Maximum temperature stability and explosion proofness. When storing flammable or explosive substances, the ignition sparks and as a consequence explosions can occur due to: static discharge (e.g. via the user, pulling of drawers) or electrical components in the cabinet (e.g. temperature sensors, fans). Therefore our LABEX® fridges and freezers are constructed intrinsically safe . Sparks cannot occur - even in the event of malfunction. All parts are dedicated for the use in Zone 2 or even Zone 1* explosion atmospheres, in accordance with the ATEX-guideline 2014/34/EU. We use a special grounding concept of the housing to discharge static electricity (door handle, antistatic drawers etc.) spark free supply of all electrical parts in the interior. | 5231 | Adapters 6-place FAQ How do benchtop centrifuges differ from small centrifuges? Hettich benchtop centrifuges stand out for their versatility . Equipped with a wide range of accessories, they can handle nearly all standard applications. They are commonly used in clinical laboratories, food labs, and agricultural settings . What sets them apart from small centrifuges are their larger capacity , the option to cool or heat samples , and their higher speeds , making them suitable for more demanding laboratory tasks. Why do I need a refrigerated centrifuge? During centrifugation, the rotor chamber heats up due to air friction and motor-generated heat . The longer or faster the run, the higher the temperature. Standard laboratory centrifuges have an air cooling system to remove some of this heat. However, many samples are thermally sensitive and must be processed within a specific temperature range. Refrigerated centrifuges with a coolant circuit and controlled cooling unit maintain these temperatures. Depending on the device, the preferred centrifugation temperature can be set anywhere between -20°C and +40°C , ensuring sample integrity. Why do I need an actively heated centrifuge? The actively heated centrifuge heats up quickly from room temperature to 90°C. Which centrifuges can cyto systems be integrated into? Hettich offers three different cytodiagnostic systems. They can be used in the following centrifuges, depending on the system: ROTOFIX 32 A UNIVERSAL 320 | 320 R ROTINA 380 | 380 R ROTINA 420 | 420 R ROTANTA 460 | 460 R ROTIXA 500 RS Our cytology brochure provides a summary of these options.
