In laboratories, suction systems are used to aspirate, collect and then remove liquids from cuvettes, microtiter plates, culture flasks, tubes and petri dishes. A routine task that requires equipment that is compact but also easy to operate and install.

Hettich has 3 models of suction systems, ranging from a simple to an automatic system. Various accessories are available for the systems and, if required, an extension set. The bottle quick connectors are easy to remove and empty.

The compact system (AZ 02/04) is suitable for occasional use. Fitted as standard with:

700 mBar membrane vacuum pump
1 bottle of 2 or 4 litres (with quick connectors)
1x 3m hose with HEPA filter and required closures for the bottle.

The extraction rate of this AZ 02/04 model is approx. 4 litres per minute of air. For proper operation, we recommend using the handle 800013200 and the stainless steel bottle holder to prevent the bottle from tipping over and clogging the filter and stopping the system.

There is a system available for every budget ranging from a simple to an automatic system where the vacuum pump shuts off when the vacuum is reached.

User friendly

The Aspiration systems are easy to install and can optionally be fitted with a nozzle using Luer-Lock adapter which allows the attachment of a Pasteur pipette. Attachments are also available with 1, 4 or 8 channels. A foot switch is also an option. For more information see the models 'standard (AC)' or 'automatic (AA)'.

Easily cleanable

The bottles are equipped with a quick-release coupling, making it easy to remove the vacuum hoses and empty/clean the bottle. Bottles are autoclavable.
